Hundreds take to streets, demanding government resign

Some 500 people converged on Vértanuk tere after the referendum ended Sunday evening to call for the resignation of the government. Nearby Kossuth tér was completely sealed off by police early Sunday. Some 2,000 riot police were nearby to contain any disturbances.

Police detained six demonstrators in the evening. The anti-government demonstration ended peacefully Sunday night.

Addressing the gathering, László Gonda of the Hungarian National Committee said the government will have to step down immediately.

tv2.hu had a live camera with sound during the protests and even if I do not speak Hungarian I did understand that the speaker/s/ spoke a lot of jews and gypsies.
Maybe the referendum was about that?
