After the Albert couple (Albert házaspár) collected 400,000 signatures for the referendum on privatizing healthcare, it turned out that their question contained a mistake which means that even if the question passed, it would not affect government policy. Undeterred, the Alberts went back to the drawing board and came up with some new questions, Népszabadság writes. To overcome the mistake with the original question, the pair penned a new one which if successful, would have the legal power to block the healthcare overhaul being backed by the Free Democrats. If this new question passes the National Election Board, the Alberts will have four months to collect signatures, which is probably more than enough time, with the likeliest result being two referendums about their questions, either held together or separately, and many more examples of bad sketches on voting slips.
