A total of 38% of eligible voters (down from 42% a month ago) would vote for Fidesz if elections were held this weekend, while 18% would back the Socialists, 1% down from the figure gauged a month ago, according to a poll conducted by the Nézőpont Intézet (Viewpoint Institute) for the weekly Heti Válasz this month.
Some 62% of respondents said corruption is more rampant today than ten years ago, and only 5% said it has lessened. The popularity of Socialist politicians Péter Kiss, Katalin Szili and József Gráf has dropped, while that of Gordon Bajnai and János Veres has risen.
Among decided voters 52% support Fidesz, as against the 19% who back the Socialists. The Democratic Forum and the Free Democrats are each supported by 3%, which means that neither of them would win seats to Parliament.

OMG – The Communist Dictatorship is coming!!! Everyone board any westbound train.
Westbound trains won’t do, Viking. Don’t you realize the EU is now controlled by communists too? Hungarians are now officially trapped. It’s like a prison where we have to live with Jews and Gypsies. It’s terrible.
Joe,
I don’t know if Hungarophobia is a curable disease. Try euthanasia first, see if it helps.
So Stan, you advice is that everyone commit suicide, right? Sound a bit defeatist for my taste. Personally I had 2 heart-stop a couple of weeks ago, so I know it is rather boring on the other side, but do not let my humble experience stop you.
No, I would more put my money on Bela and his cell mates come and liberate us from this Marxist-Leninist-MaoTseTung-EnverHodja controlled EU.

Ne légy barom. Büszke magyar vagyok!
Well I have recently been reading Az elatkozott hivatal from Moldova and while I understand communists were missing the point in many ways, so as any other “system”. It’s just that instead of the “rubber dog” that’s made of wood, we now have the opportunity to buy tomato sauce with Real Tomatos. Boy, aren’t we lucky.
