After successfully overturning a conviction for publicly wearing the illegal red star by appealing to the European Court of Human Rights, Deputy Chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party 2006 Attila Vajnai and party member Sándor Horváth, have now turned their attention to the hammer and sickle.
Use of the symbol of Communist "tyranny" at the hands of the Soviet Union is currently banned in Hungary, but Vajnai says he has already begun preparations to submit its application to the court within a month, reports Népszabadság.

I hope the first reappearance of the symbol of Commie genocide will make the Arpad flag and the Turul controversy moot. There are still victims of the Bolshevik terror living around us so the arrogance of the Communist are astounding.
Hu. deserves its sorrow state with it's attachment to the dark side of it's history.
I bet the resident Bolshevik apologists will argue that couple thousands dead is not too bad, the deportation of hundreds of thousands is a lie, Recsk and other prisons were hospitals and the whitewash will go on.

Bela,
When someone wants to run around with a nazi-flag you write about how good the US Constitution is that allows that. Why are you know not happy that another stupid restriction of Free Speech has been lifted and Hungary is becoming more like the US?
Viking,
In the light of the vociferous witch-hunt against innocuous historical symbols like the Arpad flag or the Turul your observation holds no water.
Either both are permitted or neither one.
The two sides must have equal right to show their colors in the US but not in the neo-Communist Hu. Symbols of Bolshevik genocide is protected speech according to the EU but any manifestation of nationalist creed is scorned.
I am convinced - knowing HU. history being native to the land - that this country will never break out from the grip of Marxism and the pent-up hatred in the society can only grow until a violent outburst.
Dear Reader,
The quote below is false. There is no "grip of Marxism" in Hungary.
"this country will never break out from the grip of Marxism
Joe,
Since your abject denial of Mandela tribal roots I take your word with a grain of salt because your leftist leaning is well documented and your sexual orientation clouding your mind.
Don't you think that the members of the MSZP are Marxist? Socialists are not Marxist? Are you reinventing History?
Why don't you read about Marxism at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxist
before spouting off your usual nonsenses.
So how is this so called "Marxism" expressed in Hungarian politics?
It's an easy question. Give it your best shot!
Joe,
The majority of Hungarians still longing for the Kadar regime, worship the Soviets, elect Commie politicians, hate the Nato, and then some.
Check the background of the ruling political and economical elite almost all belong to the old Commie (Marxist) cabal, sometimes indirectly trough family or other connections.
It's being called The Communist Dynasty when all the power remain in the hands of the Party and passed from father to son. It' doesn't matter how many times rename themselves to keep up with the prevailing wind.
Of course you are a registered Commie worshiper too.
Thanks for that.
But you didn't tell me, or the readers of this political/news site, how this so called "Marxism" is expressed in Hungarian politics
Do you want to try again?
I'll give you a bit of help. Has this government brought back collective farms? Do the workers control the means of production? Have the banks been nationalized? Have elections been cancelled? Have the Garda been banned? Has the press been shut down? Have the borders been sealed? Has the Internet been unplugged? Have the churches been closed? Has public assembly been banned? Have the homeless been housed?
If Hungary is in "the grip of Marxism," then, surely, some or all of the above have already happened. Can you give an eye-witness account of what is happening in Hungary at this moment?
Curious readers of this site would like to know.
Joe,
What is going on in the EU and in Hu. is called Cultural Marxism.
Marxism equals police state: nothing tolerated that threaten the Party power. What the fuck is the Socialist International of which the scumbag Gyurcsany is the vice president? Isn't it a Marxist institution?
http://www.socialistinternational.org/viewArticle.cfm?ArticleID=1915
The Commie (Marxist) gov. controls the commerce and industry and the individual's rights: they are buying and selling national assets at will and divide the proceeds among themselves. They govern by fiat and cannot be held to account like Gyurcsany is protected from the consequences of his deceptions.
(fiat = an authoritative or arbitrary order : decree -government by fiat-)
In Hungarian "törvényerejű rendelet" - remember the health reform that that fat cunt single-handedly ordered?
In Hu. the visible Commie (Marxist) oppression expressed by the police bloody brutality against protesters.
You'd better look up: "cultural Marxism"
"Marxism equals police state: nothing tolerated that threaten the Party power.
Actually, Marxism is about workers owning the means of production. Workers don't own the means of production in Hungary. Therefore Hungary cannot possibly in the "grip of Marxism."
Since you didn't answer my question, let me try another approach.
de-Marxify Hungary? What would you do to lift the "grip of Marxism" in Hungary and make all Hungarians happy, wealthy and proud? How would you
Tell me about the economic changes you would bring about to make Hungary be the Hungary you would like to see.
Joe,
"Actually, Marxism is about workers owning the means of production."
That's all? So why all the fuss about it?
Did the workers at the "Vörös Október Ruhagyár" owned the factory?
Mandela again? Have you ever heard of the AVO?
Did you ever visited the House of Terror? - they have better documentation on your comrades than I could ever dream of.
(P.S.) the commies hated the sex-freaks)
Yes, I have been to the House of Terror and it moved me to tears.
Your posts, on the other hand, make me laugh.
Have you been back to Hungary since 1956 or are you still in Colorado?
Hi, Fagot:
I am in .Hu and I married a goat.
So, it seems you lost this debate.
How does one marry a goat in Hungary? I only thought the Slovaks had laws for marrying goats.
Demagogue,
You are behind the times, please wise up: nowadays "diversity" and "multiculturalism" is the cool thing to be in...we prefer homosexuals, lesbians, Roma thieves, and assorted other freaks to lead the nations and teach our children. I converted to Islam in Londonistan and goat humping is promoted by the Sharia law.
