Parliament votes to keep cushy jobs for a while longer

Rather unsurprisingly, today’s parliamentary vote on dissolving itself, put forward by center-right party Democratic Forum (MDF) failed, with the majority of MPs voting to keep their cushy jobs for some time longer, writes origo.hu. The motion was also supported by Fidesz and the Christian Democrats (KDNP), but failed, 204-171. As it turns out, the motion was essentially a calculated bet by the Democratic Forum to show the extent to which the Free Democrats (SZDSZ) are in opposition to the minority governing Socialist Party (MSZP), which they remain in opposition to, but not as opposed to as the parties that voted in favor of dissolution. Government of experts anyone?
