Widely-loathed Budapest Mayor Gábor Demszky has donated some clothing damaged when he was pelted with eggs by demonstrators during his March 15 public speech, to the Budapest History Museum, write tabloid borsonline.hu. According to the Mayor’s Office, the museum asked him to donate the coat, hat and Hugo Boss suit he was wearing when attacked, because they think the clothes can teach something about Hungary’s current history to future generations. Here’s one thing it can teach: that if a guy who is supposed to be earning a Central European public servant’s salary is wearing Hugo Boss, it means he’s probably on the take. And if he wears Hugo Boss on a day he knows it is likely to get covered with eggs, well, it means he’s definitely on the take, or at least really, really stupid.
