Fidesz chief expects far-right and left will discover they have more in common than they think

Viktor-Orban-flags.jpgViktor Orbán is either enlarging the distance between Fidesz and the far-right, or he has come to the realization that there’s no way he can control them, a new interview on his website reveals, as reported by origo.hu. In the video, the face of Fidesz said that there will always be individuals such as failed restaurateur György Budaházy, Jobbik head honcho Gábor Vona and László “too radical even for MIÉP” Toroczkai, who according to him appear closer to Fidesz than they really are because they are also opposed to the current government.

Orbán continued, however, that if he were to assume power in a new government, he would expect the three of them to continue their chants, merely substituting Gyurcsány with Orbán. The folks who scream that the Hungarian government works at the behest of foreign agents (no, they take advantage of the Hungarian people for their own gain) will suddenly find themselves in agreement with Feri’s friends, in what will likely be a moment as awkward as when your Mom or Dad first mentioned that there are birds, and then there are bees…
