Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány and his Slovakian counterpart Robert Fico have agreed to meet in the border town of Komárom/Komarno, government spokesperson Dávid Daróczy announced on Tuesday morning.
The hastily arranged meeting follows heightened ethnic tensions sparked by clashes between police and Hungarians during a football match in the Hungarian enclave of Dunaszerdahely on November 1.
Both prime ministers have used the media to apportion blame on the other side and Fico has been widely criticized for his nationalistic stance in the past.

“hungarian enclave”, oh my god. I guess they’re also in the last stage of the resistance.
I wonder when Ferenc Gyurcsány and hungarian president will finnaly bypass their phobias and come to Bratislava where they would be accepted with all honour and respect that should belong to high representatives of other country. Rather then crawling over boundary south towns.. Yes, we know, the most important here is to repeat mindlessly that the problem is on slovak side.
@V Disease,
You made a slight spelling mistake Pozsony!!! and Felvidek!!
We’ll gladly keep hungarian anachronismes reserved for your private use and for the use of your fellow friends from national Guards.
“Enclave” doesn’t mean anything more than a territory within the boundaries of another territory. As Dunaszerdahely (or Dunajská Streda if you prefer) is 79.75% Hungarian according to the 2001 census, I think this is a reasonable word to use. All info courtesy of Wikipedia.
HotP,
of course, you meant “Felvidék!!”. I think a real Hungarian like you should get a real Hungarian keyboard.
Oh, to save you a post, I am a Jewish Gypsy Bambi mutant who should get a life.

To attack somebody with sarcasm over a keyboard error is the lowest form of wit–please try harder.
PS No uptake on my drink offer ????
Adrian,
true, but there was not need to use this word unless someone doesn’t want to emphasise something. And it’s not just this one word. The article is just one-sided.
e.g. “Both prime ministers have used the media to apportion blame on the other side and Fico has been widely criticized for his nationalistic stance in the past.”
See, there’s just mentioned slovak PM Fico who has been accused of adopting “nationalist” stance (which in fact is just hungarian interpretation and hungarian view) and there’s no word of the other side, no word of hungarian portion.
A small advice from the neighbour: The longer will keep Hungary crying on past, the deeper will sink. Wake up guys, it’s 21 st century. Time to get a life.

POLITICAL CLAUSES
SECTION I
Article 4
Hungary, which in accordance with the Armistice Agreement has taken measures for dissolving all organisations of a Fascist type on Hungarian territory, whether political, military or para-military, as well as other organisations conducting propaganda, including revisionist propaganda, hostile to the United Nations, shall not permit in future the existence and activities of organisations of that nature which have as their aim denial to the people of their democratic rights.

World,
That stuff looks pretty old and outdated.
It was signed under pressure, which questions its validity. Time to write a new one.
Of course it was signed under pressure! Hungary was on the losing side of the war. Losers don’t get to dictate peace conditions.
With the rise of various right-wing extremist groups in Hungary, there is a very good chance Hungary will be on the wrong side again.
Look how wrong the Serbs were to challenge NATO. They got bombed and they lost Kosovo. I have no doubt that you and your buddies would like something similar to happen in Hungary so you’d be able to carry on your lament of “oh, our poor little Hungary. No one respects us,” and other self-indulgent nonsense.
Joe baby,
You’d rather see the NATO bombing Budapest than anyone disturbing your “march futile”.
Would you be interested in Hungarian politics if people threw flowers at the gay parade instead of eggs? And be honest for a change.
Édesem,
What does my sexual orientation have to do with this topic? But since you have a penchant for referring to my orientation, I can only guess that you’re not getting enough. That, of course, is YOUR problem, not mine.
Joe baby,
No answer? So I was right, no surprise there.
I don’t care about your sexual orientation as long as you don’t make displying it the most important issue on the planet.
You can tell me how to conduct myself AFTER I tell you how to conduct yourself.
Does that seem fair? (That’s a rhetorical question since you have no idea what fair means.)
Joe
In Stan, you have most definitely met your match, now please go away and stop spoiling intelligent peoples weekends !
Ricsi, I see you’re wearing your bohócsapka again.
Joe baby,
Still no answer? It’s a simple question:
“Would you be interested in Hungarian politics if people threw flowers at the gay parade instead of eggs?”
Why would I want to dignify your question with an answer?
