Janos Koka, the parliamentary group leader of the Alliance of Free Democrats, the small liberal party which formed the governing coalition with the Socialists until May this year, was re-elected on Monday.
Koka, an economic liberal and a former multi-millionaire businessman, was ousted as leader of the party by Gabor Fodor in the summer after narrowly winning a replay of a previously disputed leadership election.
Fodor has been trying to steer the party in a new direction and had called on Koka not to contest the post of parliamentary group leader.
