The Fidesz membership of Gabriella Cs. Kovács was reinstated earlier this week following her suit against news portal Hírszerző, in which she charged the portal of attributing anti-Semitic slurs to her, index.hu reported.
According to a Hírszerző reporter and editor, Kovács gave a press release in the summer of 2007 which contained anti-Semitic declarations. In response, Kovács resigned her post as a local government representative for Leányfalu, so that the charges could not be pinned on Fidesz, and promptly launched a libel suit.
A Budapest court ruled that the reporter and editor were guilty of defamation of character. No details were given about a possible monetary settlement, but following the ruling, Fidesz welcomed Kovács back into the party.

A victory for common sense against the "hate speech"
promoters.
@Ricsi: Who are Fidesz these days (not the old Fidesz that actually stood for something)? The people who call out "A zsidó Kurvaországiak".
You should know by now that I am no Fidesz lover, just that they are the better of the 2 main parties, as for that statement--It is true,so what is your problem with truth ????
