FinMin state secretary “most talkative” cabinet member in Parliament in ’08

Finance Ministry state secretary László Keller was the most talkative cabinet member in Parliament in 2008, speaking for a total of 12 hours and 57 minutes on 204 occasions, Népszabadság reports.

The minister making the largest number of contributions was Finance Minister János Veres, who took the floor 101 times.

At the other extreme, Research and Development Minister Károly Molnár addressed the House only twice.

The most voluble caucus leader was the Democratic Forum’s Károly Herényi, having spoken for 10 hours and 16 minutes in total.

Forum MP András Pettkó made the largest number of contributions, for a total of 14 hours and two minutes. Socialist László Szakács made the shortest contribution of any MP, speaking for just 10 seconds.
