Göncz takes EU line on Gaza conflict

Hungary’s position on the conflict in the Gaza Strip is in line with the EU’s stance, which calls for ending violence and urges negotiations to resolve the conflict, Hungarian Foreign Minister Kinga Goncz told leaders of Hungary’s federation of Jewish communities Mazsihisz in Budapest on Tuesday.

Goncz stressed Israel’s right to defend itself under international law but added that Israel’s response to the Hamas attacks was disproportionate, foreign affairs spokesman Lajos Szelestey said in a statement.

The foreign minister emphasised that both sides should exert every possible effort to protect civilian lives and prevent a humanitarian disaster.

Mazsihisz President Peter Feldmajer and Managing Director Gusztav Zoltai thanked the Foreign Ministry for what they called its balanced statements on the conflict. They, however, expressed concern over “less balanced” local media reports about the root cause of the armed conflict, namely the series of Hamas rocket attacks against Israel, the statement said.

So that’s why we pay billions to MAZSIHISZ. They tell us what to think, what to say and how to run our foreign policy.
If we had a decent government, we would have ended diplomatic relations with Israel a long time ago.

In a realistic world,so would every other nation !

    @Ricsi and @Stan,

This isn’t such a cut and dry situation of oppressor vs. victim. I too think the response by Israel is disproportionate, and not the right way to resolve the situation; but face it, the country is getting bombarded regularly by terrorists from Gaza who are asking to get pulverized back. (Note:
I would think a more M. Ghandi approach of passive resistance would be better (and on both sides)).

But to disengage completely reduces any influence (though we could easily argue HU hasn’t any anyway). At least they are pointing out that there’s more to the current situation than just rocket attacks (though here we don’t hear about such).

What is Mazsihisz, and how are they funded.

Israel should never have been created, it doesn’t belong to the Zionist Jews, they are occupying Palestine, also they are oppressing the Palestinians, they have no right to be there and don’t even practice democracy only on there serpentine terms, they are the biggest Fascist racists to ever walk the planet with no tolerance of any nationality, and they hide behind the cloak of the Holahoax.

To be honest I am far more interested in Europe’s problem’s and the zionist influence here. However the way I see it is that an Israeli created, elected ‘Government’ called Hamas is fighting for illegally occupied territory, annexed in 1967.They are using home made rockets not much more powerful than fireworks,I think 20 killed in 10 years ?.a tragedy, agreed, but nothing compared to thousands killed ever since 1967,and especially now.
So to summarise-Israel created Hamas to counter Arafat and also Fatah.
Israel broke the 6 month peace treaty by killing 6 Hamas on Nov.5th (they admitted this just this week),
No Hamas rockets were fired into Israel for 6 months prior to Nov.5th.
And finally the cowardly Israeli’s are taking advantage of the dying days of idiot Bush’s presidency, knowing he would say nothing.
Did you see Olmerts remarks about making Bush tell Rice not to endorse the UN resolution ??
Who control’s US politics ?? If you do not know the answer by now ,just look at yesterdays news flashes on all internet sites !
Your last question, this is the Jewish (actually zionist) organisation in Hungary, but it far more than just a minorities organisation, think more like ADL and AIPAC in the US and the tremendous lobbying power . They recieve huge funds from the Hungarian tax payer,so that they can influence Hungary out of all proportion, just how logical is that ?
By the way,do you know what In-Kal is ??
