Now back to History--World War One, Hungary was part of the Austrian monarchy,which went to war against Serbia after an assassination,Russia declared war against the Monarchy and thus by treaty Germany declared war on the monarchies side-in other words they sided with Austro-Hungary.
World War Two, prior to war,Germany made it clear it wished to regain German territory lost at Versailles, Hungary signed the treaty of Vienna in 1938,giving Hungary back some of its lost lands in Slovakia, and later joined in the attack against Yugoslavia,but stopped as agreed once former Hungarian lands were regained.By now it was obvious only Germany could stem the tide of communism and thus Hungary joined in Barbarossa,which unfortunately failed.Hence almost 50 years of communism--no doubt you find that more appealing than an independent Hungary under Horthy ??
The point of the history lesson ? circumstances dictate choices, and just like today the people are beginning to make a choice ! This corrupt system as failed the majority just as surely as did communism.

Now in the west, we do have the right of free association, so I don't see how .0035% of the population participating in a legal protest and expression of opinion suddenly becomes a threat to democracy! Unless of the course the opinion they espouse strikes a chord with the public's sentiment and the movement becomes a popular one.
