Orbán says Central Europe needs unified response to resurgent Russia

Main opposition Fidesz party leader Viktor Orban on Tuesday said that Hungary had a vital interest in developing cooperation among the Central European nations, ranging from Croatia to Poland.

Orban, invited to Erfurt by Thuringia’s conservative provincial government, delivered a paper about Europe’s security policy at a session of Thuringia’s government.

“This cooperation is dictated by our vital instincts. The memories of Central Europe about a strong Russia are quite different (from those of the West). If the Central European nations fail to cooperate, they will be unable to defend themselves,” he said.

The opposition leader called it unacceptable that the Ukrainian-Russian gas pricing dispute had left millions of people without natural gas.

Orban stressed the need for Europe to develop a sophisticated and structured system of cooperation with Russia, identifying at the same time the fields of alliance, rivalry and opposition.

The opposition leader called it inexplicable that Europe, “which takes pride in its intellectual capabilities”, had done nothing over the past two decades to ease its dependence on Russian natural gas deliveries.

Okay mostly, but let us focus on the US sponsored thief here–Ukraine.
We need Russia and should work with them rather than the failed US and its puppet states.

Russia was never part of the Western Enlightenment and remained an Asiatic, absolute dictatorship under a strong ruler, czar or a Party chief, a strong man of the day. That governmental system is part of the Russian psyche and shall not change – tangentially speaking, not a single country ever benefited of a too close relationship with Russia.
America was the only country which resisted tyranny and stood up against the Russian imperialism.
    Until now.
It has changed with the election of the hard leftist Obama who will lead the US into unpredictable and uncertain future.
Eastern Europeans better forget the US and make amends to the Russians – with gnashing teeth notwithstanding. Learn from the German Schröder who as scumbag he is, adeptly caressed the bear hairy back and won.
The Brits, French, Dutch will disappear under the onslaught of Islamist immigration and turn Sharia.
The US is controlled by a unholy alliance between angry blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, Marxists – all financed by Commie Jews like Soros and many others like him from the tribe.

You got that mostly spot on ! Though the ‘muslim invasion’ is an over played card to divert attention away from the real problems and manipulators. One of the reasons why I have little time for BNP/Nick Griffiths is his sucking up to the Jewish voters and playing the ‘muslim extremist’ game, instead of debating just how these ‘extremists’ came about. He has sold out in the interests of votes rather than remain honest to the cause.

I am new on this tread and I have difficulty to comprehend the generalized Jew bashing by some posters.
Let me clarify: I have beef with some Jewish groups like the Bolshevik, Marxist Jews who are out to destroy the Western civilization and you can find them in the fore with full force mainly in the US. (See my other post)
I do not conflate these groups with Edward Teller (H-bomb)who was not “red” and I do not accuse with anything Imre Kalman and other pillars of the Hungarian culture and science.
What do you have against Dennis Gabor (Nobel P.- Hologram) who was Jewish and escaped from Germany?
Wouldn’t it be more intelligent to define correctly your object of scorn by adding applicable attributes to it?
To shout into the air words like “I hate Hungarians, Americans, Germans, Jews…” – do you really? – all of them? – it reveals a great deal of intellectual deficiency and make your narrative invalid to boot.

    @Anonymous Rex
Russia became Communist because the US and Europe supported western banking firms that financed and gave sanctuary to Jewish Marxist terrorists which bombed and assassinated political figures in Czarist Russia eventually overthroughing the government and slaughtering the Czars royal family.
And it was Ukraine that cut the gas to Europe not Russia with the help of international Hungarian Jew George Soros.

The saga of the Communist takeover of Russia – including the role of all the major players – are common knowledge today.
The subject however has no bearing on this thread and it will not advance your narrative, which is about ………….(fill the blank)
Soros is regarded as pure Evil who almost singlehandedly bought and controlled the American Dem. party and orchestrated and paid for the Obama election. Even though today he is financing hard left causes, as a young Jewish man he was also a Nazi collaborator. More about him and the “60 minutes” TV interview in which he spoke about it openly at:

Soros is a typical ashanazi zionist, taking advantage of the political situation as it suits his kind with no scruples.By the way,the fact that he confesses to having worked with local ‘Nazi’s’ in the agricultural section sort of dispels the myth that the ‘Nazi’s’ wanted to ‘exterminate’ all jews !! Yet another confession inadvertently showing the myth for what it was ?

  8. Newe says:

You are all nuts. Russia resurgent? Have you been watching the price of oil? Russia is living off its savings now, and they won’t last long.

  9. Ricsi says:

    Newe
True ,but at least Russia has savings to live off, unlike most of the west.Plus you watch oil prices sky rocket again soon enough.

  10. Farkas László says:

Russia is too big. Too big compared to (almost) everyone else. It’s sheer bigness will always create issues, especially in it’s relation to other (much smaller) European states.
With the territorial size comes control over vast mineral wealth and raw materials. If the price of oil doesn’t bring it in, then any number of other resources can be profitably sold: exotic rare earth metals, precious metals, minerals, gas, etc. Anybody,(whatever their political leanings), who brings the country under control, automatically acquires an Aladdin’s cave of unimaginable wealth. All you have to do is “extract and sell”, and the “valuta” pours in, ready to be used for whatever the whim of the current ruler.
Making so much wealth in this manner both empowers and debilitates: all the money empowers whoever is controlling it. Given this reality, there is not much incentive for “power sharing” at the top is there? Don’t forget that “rackets” produce “racket leaders”!
Sale-of-resources based wealth also ultimately debilitates. For the maximum leaders at least, there’s not much incentive to promote the devlopment of a more diverse economy, with emphasis on private enterprise and the manufacture of consumer goods. This is a nation that has also been getting by on the sale of weapons.
The small states of Europe will always be on the defensive here, as the Bear has so much of what we need. I love bears! I’m not against this one, but caution around them is always advised!

  11. Ricsi says:

Believe me,I know many Russians through friendship and business, these are savy bears who want to come in from the cold—welcome them and you will benefit but shun them and suffer, see what the US can give you apart from ‘hope’ and ‘democracy’.
Russia as many problems but with the leadership set by Putin,it can and will overcome them-better to be with the winning side than with the shrinking, bankrupt exploiters.

  12. Farkas László says:

    Hi Ricsi!
Political fads and regimes can and will come and go; the resources of Russia will be there to outlast it all! It’s the permanent superpower- assuming it can remain intact.
You know me my friend, I’m a pragmatist and realist and all that (with a passionate patriotic heart!), so I would be the last to advocate blowing off a nation like Russia. They are too big and too close- (a lot closer than the US!); they have “visited” our country at least three times in our history, so I know they are there and I wouldn’t forget it.
I heartily wish them well, meaning I want to see both political and economic evolution for Russia. No one wants to see another “Koba” or Ivan The Terrible. Should that happen, then we too will be in hot water! Our own well being is in a way dependent on theirs, and the goodwill we could curry with them. I deeply empathise with all ex-feudal societies; getting out of that kind of past and into the modern world is a struggle for any country unfortunate enough to have to go through it.
One tricky thing about this “relationship”. There are other big dogs in the world besides Russia. This could put us in a conflicted position if one big boy wants us to do one thing, and Russia wants the opposite. Enjoy the politics!
Ricsi, it’s not very courteous this thing with the webadministration. I saw your complaint about it on another thread, and I feel for you. It really is the Wild West.

I eventually got a sarcastic reply from Erik D’amateur, he did however say that if we ‘signed up’ to the register, we could then swop e-mail addresses.

  14. Farkas László says:

    Hi Ricsi
“Erik D’amateur”?! Now there is a confidence inspiring “nome de plume”! Makes you wonder if it really says that on his birth certificate!
I don’t know man, the “trust factor” is missing with these folks, given the way they have not responded with us.

  15. Farkas László says:

    Hi again Ricsi,
I looked up the “Privacy Policy” to this website, under the Newsletter box. I found this:
“The All Hungary Media Group reserves the right to remove any material from All Hungary Media web pages. There will be opportunities for Members to flag inappropriate content, unrelated content, which will be reviewed as necessary. The All Hungary Media Group manages such content by requiring all members to sign-in before rating, commenting or flagging an item. It sounds like you have to register as a member in order to lodge complaint about a post. That may help when asking them to delete posts that were made under our usernames by imposters.
What I don’t get from ther policy statement is whether your email would be shared with the other “members”.

  16. Ricsi says:

Shall we register and see what happens ??

  17. Farkas László says:

    Hi Ricsi,
See if Erik could spare you another reply. The privacy policy says that your email will not be shared with outside parties, but says nothing about other members. Can any member look up another members email? Is that something you would want? This is a political website, and I say that such a leak would have computer security ramifications for us all.
Again, this isn’t the sweetest bunch I’ve ever dealt with; they have a bit of a hands off attitude, while at the same time I can’t help but feel that some political judgment has been passed.
Say hello to Erik for me!

  18. Ricsi says:

I think you are right ! Best to avoid any unforeseen consequences through naive trust !
We will find a secure way of contact,I am sure…
