Hungary’s Socialist prime minister on Saturday called the decade-long domestic infighting the country’s major weakness in the midst of the first global crisis in history.
“I am fed up with the fact that every question in Hungary is put as: (main opposition) Fidesz or (the Socialists) MSZP? (Fidesz chief) Orban or (MSZP leader) Gyurcsany?”, Ferenc Gyurcsany said at a party board meeting.
He said the Socialists needed a strong, determined political, human and professional unity, while at present the majority of Hungary’s political elite is captive of a kind of fear of reforms, and the country is in an apathy from the cutthroat domestic infighting.
Touching upon the global economical crisis he said Hungarians have only just started to taste it.
In the future the country will need an effective and capable state, and an economic policy that is based on national rather than on foreign resources, he said.
On the extraordinary parliamentary session on crisis management, scheduled for January 29, the prime minister said the government is obliged to turn to parliament, to analyse the situation there, to make the people understand it, and, to prepare bills on the bases agreed there within a few weeks’ time.
Trouble is,when you are a self confessed liar and a cheat,it is very hard for anyone to consider you serious any more !
Agree with Ricsi.
To Gy’s List how about adding:-
- accusing others of lying when they are truthful
- desire to tax everything and inablity to cut costs
- creating an environment that encourages cheating, being out for ones’ self etc. rather than pulling together
*****Never forget******
