Bokros’s fate in EP elections will not mirror Dávid’s, party spokesman says

Even if the Democratic Forum fails to attract enough voters to send Lajos Bokros to the European Parliament, party chairwoman Ibolya Dávid will not step down, party spokesman Szabolcs Kerék-Bárczy announced, as reported by atv.hu.

Bokros, who is a professor of economics and author of the infamous austerity package of the mid-1990s, told the party he would make his decision final by Sunday. The party would then make its list for the European Parliamentary elections final.
