Security chief says Hungary home to “several dozen” political terrorists

What was once suspected is now known, namely, Hungary is home to a small number of political terrorists, according to the country’s security chief.

Sandor Laborc, the head of the National Security Office, told Saturday’s Nepszabadsag daily that there is a “hard core of several dozen” people who are ready to carry out terrorist acts.

Laborc referred to people who he said had carried out acts of political terrorism, saying that these people’s actions were a continuation of a movement of political extremism which started in the late summer of 2006, when a hard core of radicals infiltrated mainstream anti-government street rallies.

Without wishing to give any specific details for security reasons, Laborc told the paper that the country’s security apparatus had thwarted several political plots — involving bombs and weaponry — which had aimed to cause widespread injury.

    Or,is the stick insect, Sandor Laborc, referring to the gang that have just flown in from La Paz, Bolivia?
