Several hundred parents, grandparents and small children - many in prams - held a peaceful demonstration against the government's austerity measures in front of Parliament on Sunday.
"We are here to call attention to the brutal austerity measures… seriously impacting us - women and mothers - as well as those that are so important to us," Ildiko Pelcz Gall, vice chair of the main opposition Fidesz party, an organiser of the demo, told participants.
At the end of the protest, participants hung diapers on the chain barriers surrounding the building, while Pelcz Gall handed over a petition to a parliamentary official.
