Fidesz wins first place on ballots for EP elections

The Fidesz-Christian Democrat alliance will top the list of parties on the ballots in the European parliamentary elections, as it came out first when the National Election Commission drew lots on Thursday to determine the order.

The Free Democrats will appear second, followed by the Roma Unity Party, the Hungarian Communist Workers Party, the Socialist Party, Jobbik, the Politics Can Be Different and Humanist Party joint list, and the Democratic Forum.

The ballots feature the party logos in a circle which needs to be crossed in order to make the vote valid.

National Election Office leader Emília Rytkó said the ballots will have safety elements invisible to the human eye.
