Hungary will prepare the budget for its 2011 EU presidency by July, Foreign Minister Peter Balazs said in Budapest on Tuesday.
The government calculates with a grand total of HUF 30-40bn (EUR 105-141m) in expenses, Balazs said after the meeting of the EU-presidency working group.
Opposition Fidesz wants to see the budget as soon as possible, party deputy Zsolt Nemeth said.
It is important to know of the sponsorship possibilities, and of the costs of cultural events connected to the presidency, Nemeth said.
