Socialist leader downplays Fidesz victory; underscores Jobbik links

The 1,600,000 votes obtained by Fidesz at Sunday’s elections are many, but not enough, as Fidesz failed to convince its own supporters that the election was about a change of government, Socialist leader Ildikó Lendvai told Parliament on Monday afternoon.

Lendvai congratulated Fidesz on its result, but recalled that the 2,200,000 votes won by Fidesz in 2006 were not enough to score a victory. The Socialists won even more votes, therefore the party has a duty to regain the trust of those left-wing voters who stayed at home or voted for other parties, she said.

The common lesson, Lendvai continued, is the alarm bell that must be sounded because of the rise in Hungarian radicalism.

Turning to Fidesz, she said caucus leader Tibor Navracsics should speak a little softly, as his party launched Jobbik leader Gábor Vona on his public career from a common polgári kör (civic group) and has yet to sever their election alliances with Jobbik in 200 local councils. Lendvai was apparently referring to the Alliance for the Nation, founded in 2002, of which Viktor Orbán was a president and Vona was a member.

Typical socialist scum, blame anybody but themselves for the total rejection of their party.

Who really cares what rhetoric the communist Kurv* Lendvai Ildiko is spitting in that hideous, irritating (fingers screeching down the blackboard) voice of hers.
Like the other filthy scumbag members of the MSZP, her days are numbered and she soon will be resigned to sitting at home reading her old AVH dossiers!

Interesting about those 200 Fidesz-Jobbik links. Especially as the two parties claim not to like each other.

‘The rise in Hungarian radicalism’! I’m constantly amazed that these ghastlies (and they have their look-alikes everywhere in the world) are incapable of using the word ‘nationalism’. Their constant substitutes for it are ‘extremisms’, ‘racism’, ‘fascism’, etc. I have even come upon ‘nazi-ism’. Nationalism scares them silly. I wish I were a cartoonist. It would be fun to depict Lendvai’s ugly head shattered by the ‘alarm bells’ she wants to sound.
Some of you will be interested to see the BBC sounding an ‘alarm bell’ that manages to validate the BNP’s claim that the indigenous British are under threat in the UK:

The BBC link I posted, above, seems to be dead. It is, however, alive elsewhere. I’ll see if this one survives:

  6. JD says:

Yeah right Sophie. Only if people are as screwed up as you would you get that meaning from this news clip.

  7. Sophie says:

You cannot think your way through your own sentence, JD, you poor little wannabe.

  8. Viking says:

    Sophie,
You are still thinking that Morvai did not write what she wrote?

  9. JD says:

Attack the minute detail Sophie, it’s your only defence.
You seem so stupid that you don’t even realise you would be deported by the BNP (aided or otherwise) due to your wonderfully strong “Eastern European” links.

  10. Mihaly says:

    @ JD
Why insult people? Goes to show your intellect is in the gutter, people have freedom to express themselves even if their views are opposite to yours, your tactics stem from small minded pettiness. I need no justification from someone as ignorant as yourself, so talk to the hand!

  11. JD says:

Apologies Mihaly if my comments to Sophie came across to you as rude, telling her she is stupid and screwed up was intended to be honest.
People are entitled to their views, however, it is recognised that freedom to incite racial hatred expressed in their views is not acceptable.
Freedom does not extend to every action, freedom to murder, freedom to persecute, freedom to perform acts of genocide.
Since these people (such as Sophie) are clearly not interested in rational open minded discussion, perhaps core basic honesty is the answer.

  12. Sophie says:

‘… you would be deported by the BNP … ‘: only if the BNP were not the BNP but a creature of your fantasy, JD. Quick now! Spit some more filth.
Viking: It is only in your world of possibilities that someone did not write what she wrote.
