Fidesz MPs János Áder and Tamás Deutsch have given up their seats in the Hungarian Parliament, effective July 13, as they will work as MEPs in the European Parliament, Fidesz wrote in a letter to Speaker Katalin Szili.
The politicians won seats to the European Parliament at the June 7 elections. As Deutsch won his seat in the Hungarian Parliament on Fidesz’s national list, the party can nominate anybody on that list to succeed him.
Áder won an individual seat in Csorna, Győr county, however, meaning a by-election will have to be called.

The only position suitable for Deutsch would be deputy men’s room attendant of the Hungarian Consulate in Yemen.
Indeed.
Nothing better policy-wise than sending these two clowns into the European Parliament as Fidesz reps.
Deutsch may scour bedmates and Ader language teachers.
What a brilliant combination for Fidesz!
beju: Deutsch is a clown, but Áder is not. He is one of the smartest people in Parliament, and an honest politician. His leaving to Brussels is a comment on Orbán. That English thing was a set-up, (unfortunately it worked), obvious from the stupid questions they put from a newspaper that does not exist. And that recording proves little about his English.
@Tünde: If he’s so snart are you saying he does speak a foreign language of some kind? That he’s not a liar and didn’T make false claims about his own abilities?
http://kuruc.info/r/2/41687/
No, I didn’t think so.
Or are you more interested in his future environmental portfolio and ingratiating yourself with potential future paymasters?
Bevándorló: Read slowly.
1. I wrote that recording proves little about his English. It proves that it was obviously a trap.
2. Áder can speak some English, so how it is a “lie” that he wrote he speaks a foreign language.
3. I have already read Kuruc.info’s campaign against him, and though much of what they say about Fidesz is true, this was either stupid, or not. Either they fell for the trap, or not. This was right before the EP vote.
4. Smart has nothing to do with being able to speak a foreign language. Example: Vándorló can speak some Hungarian, he is not smart.
Now go do something useful.
“What we’ve got here is failure to communicate”.
(The Captain in the movie: Cool Hand Luke)
Well, this applies to this discussion board and the world in general.
Many of our EU “representatives” may think they can speak English, but they are not very good at it, and no one will understand what they are trying to say. Translators are available for those who speak Hungarian or other languages, but not for those who speak really bad English with a thick Hungarian accent.
No worries, Lowlife Deutsch and co. will get compensated for their efforts, successful or not.
A steady job for a monthly salary of 7,000 Euros and expenses, not bad. I wonder why intelligent people rarely apply for the job.
@Tünde: You’re confusing yourself again. Try to follow your own reasoning through and join the dots.
“1. It proves that it was obviously a trap.”
A trap he fell for, as the trap was about language ability, which he failed to pass. That it was ‘set-up’ it irrelevant to the result, which speaks for itself. You only have to listen to hear the desperation.
“2. Áder can speak some English”
True, but he went further by claiming higher proficiency than he is able to demonstrate. He has not and is not able to prove otherwise at the moment until he has crammed enough lessons in (kindly paid for by all of us immigrant tax payers and other working people – that excludes you as you are on their books).
“3. Either they fell for the trap, or not.”
He ‘fell for it’ as he was unable to conduct or respond to either of the two interviews and deliberately avoided any other embarrassing situations. Ask your friend to conduct and interview with Index.hu or anyone else without asking for a rehearsed script beforehand.
“4. Smart has nothing to do with being able to speak a foreign language.”
Very true, communicating with you is like talking to Caliban: ‘Megtanítottál beszélni, s minden hasznom annyi, hogy tudok átkozódni’ ["You taught me language; and my profit on't Is, I know how to curse." (The Tempest 1:2:365-367)]
English is wasted on you.
“Now go do something useful.”
Don’t worry a new program was compiling – it’s called multi-tasking.
Migrant,
What is it you want? Are you just an anti_Hungarian without a cause? What’s with the crusade against patriotic Hungarians? So what’s your thing, what do you want? Bet you have no idea…
@Godot: Like Tünde you are one of the f**kers that contribute nothing to this country but feel you have a say in it simply because you were born here. I say that qualifies you for jack shit.
Anyway, a short list in no particular order:
1.Honest politicians
2.An end to vacuous promises
3.Stop deceiving people who want to be deceived by promising the earth
4.Parties with manifestos and policies, not the vague non-manifestos or anti-manifestos that currently exist.
5. Normal Hungarians to stop being such lazy f**kers when it comes to democracy. Democracy is boring and slow legal process that you have to with with words and deeds, not riots and revolution.
6. To vote when they have the chance and stop pretending it doesn’t matter (The “it doesn’t matter who you vote for the government gets in” attitude).
7. Stop taking to the streets, use the powers that exist. Use the freedom of information acts to get the information you need to cripple the f**kers with their hands in the till.
8. Stop kidding yourself you don’t love consumerism. You do more than most of the expats here.
9. Stop kidding yourself you hate capitalism. You don’t, you’re just desperate to get enough yourself.
10. Stop telling yourselves the same old, boring lies: blaming others, false histories…
11. Stop trying to cheat short term, to lose long
12. Start actually showing you feel the same about Hungary as the foreigners who have chosen to live here.
13. No more facial hair on politicians
We love it
Vandorlo you are a sad case, totally lost soul.
@Godot: Just to make it clear, because you and Tünde and those like you are so cretinously stupid: I would chose the company of Hungarians over any other nation on earth. They are dynamic, educated, civil, love debate… Simply they are nothing like you, Tünde or your kind. For some reason f**kers like you congregate here and give an appalling impression of Hungary and Hungarians to English language speakers. You are not Hungarians, you do not represent Hungary. It is you lot that are ant-Hungarian. You don’t even accept those people who disagree with you as being ‘true’ Hungarians. You and Tünde are no use to this country until you grow up mentally and emotionally.
@Vandorlo you cant even spell ant-Hungarian!! should be anti!! this proves that deep down in your soul you are a traitor to Hungary, I assume a Jewish scumbag! F**Kwit C**T!! There are more Hungarians like us that are defending the rights of Hungarians , not destroying them with your tactics.
It is difficult to see what the fuss is about Áder’s command of English. The youtube ‘proof’ demonstrates that he at least has a working knowledge of the language. It may also demonstrate that he fobs off ‘journalists’ who cold-call him. In any case, it is his brainpower and his knowledge of the law that will serve the purposes of his EP faction. He need never take the floor in the EP.
I began to read this thread with interest. Tünde, beju and Godot were all speaking. Then, of course, along comes Vándorló (Tünde do you really credit him with being a Bevándorló?) with nothing to say, lurching around like an offensive drunk. Bugger off, Vándorló. This is an opportunity to listen to Hungarians talking about Hungarian politicians.
pat,
envy is the religion of the mediocore…
Immigrant, you are a sad case. You just have to pick on something truly insignificant to waste everyone’s time on and then use it, yet again, to spout at the mouth.
Because I like Áder, I took the trouble to view the video.
Because you are a case in pathology, you should watch it again, over and over.
When I wrote “Either they fell for the trap, or not” I meant kuruc.info, you fool. Áder didn’t fall for a trap, he answered his mobile phone.
Either kuruc.info knows or they do not know if it was a trap, but it was irrelevant to them because they were in their “get any Fidesz” mode before the EP elections, and Áder is popular.
Áder’s “desperation” was to someone who called him on his mobile phone asking him to “please sum up his political career”.
That little tirade was funny. Thank you “Mr White English man from successful democracy” (not) for telling the natives how to live.
And please stop with the pretense that you are so deeply involved in Hungary. You are deeply involved in yourself. You couldn’t care less if Áder actually speaks English or about this entire subject.
Godot: while it is not a good thing if it turns out that Áder’s English is poor, it really makes little difference in Brussels. Still, I am sad to see him go because he is much more useful here and will be totally useless, as most EP reps are, there.
Wiseman judas: ‘envy is the religion of the mediocre’. Well, blow me done! Who’da thunk it? Are you talking about yourself, judas? But then, you really place yourself way above your station.
Pat, do leave the abuse to them. Otherwise, you give the impression that you are one of them.
Sophie: Sorry didn’t see your post. Vándorló said that about himself once. I prefer to think of him as a gyüttment, and hoping that he will soon be the “ment”.
Glad you agree about the video, certainly says nothing about Áder’s English, but says a lot about someone who uses the man’s mobile phone, not introduce themselves, and say “please sum up your political career”. There were a few good comments on that video (a while since I saw it) saying the same.
@sophie
Point taken, not easy puting up with these Anti Hungarians, especially when the forum is owned by one.
@Tündi: ‘Gyüttment’, az kedves! Tudod arra gondoltam, hogy igazi paraszt vagy. Ezért biztos vagyok benne.
You Really are a looser Vandorlo! You are a Traitor to Hungary.
Vándorló: Ilyen arctalan, ostoba, undor link alak mint Te vagy talán nem is létezik. Ne is letezzé. (Melegen javaslom.)
Pat: Whoops! But I had to.
HAHAHAHA! Sophie! Vándorló is calling me a paraszt and he thinks that this is an insult! Oh goodness, if only I were really a real paraszt. (Amúgy kb. 20 éve itt él. Szomorú.)
Tünde: only the Talmud denigrates farm work as the lowest form of work, and the farmer as the lowest form of life. That’s where the wanderer is coming from. Otherwise, ‘peasant’ associates with ‘salt of the earth’, etc. I’d rather like to be one, too, — preferably a Petöfi-loved one. (By the way, did you ever hear that charming joke about the funcionárisok who asked old Pista bácsi what he’s do if he were to see a csendör at the top of the field?)
Tunde,
If Ader’s expulsion to the EU Parliament was Orban’s doing, a person of self esteem would have rejected it. Yet he didn’t and ran on the list.
You can’t force one out by offering a more fruitful position without his assent and acceptance or he wouldn’t participate.
My dear wandering migrant,
You are one piece of disillusioned, delussional, botching individual.
What exactly entails your migrancy? Here to there, or just here. Here you have shown yourself no doubt, there … it’s a matter of debate. Where is there if you don’t my asking?
Jerusalem?
“Vándorló is calling me a paraszt and he thinks that this is an insult!”
