Justice and Law Enforcement Minister Tibor Draskovics on Tuesday denied recent press rumours that he would quit the government in September.
At the government spokesman’s briefing, Draskovics also denied that he would take up a job with Pricewaterhouse Coopers Hungary.
The minister said he would “continue his work”.
Friday’s issue of national daily Magyar Hirlap said Draskovics would become a partner of the tax consulting and auditing firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers Hungary from September 1. Among his potential successors at the ministry, deputy ministers Dezso Avarkeszi and Gabor Juhasz were named.
