Justice and Law Enforcement Minister Tibor Draskovics promised yesterday to crack down on the Magyar Gárda so long as it is banned by the courts.
“It is unparalleled that some people are openly turning against court rulings, especially in support of a party that aims to be elected to Parliament,” he said.
Draskovics promised that he will enforce the law by consistently applying all legal instruments, saying: “If a court rules that an operation is banned it cannot operate. Citizens of Hungary must see that no one is above the law”.
Improving public safety does not require comprehensive reform, but small, consistent measures all pointing in the same direction, Draskovics continued. As examples, he mentioned a greater police presence in public areas and improving the response flexibility of the police.
In addition, he said, the workload of police stations will be examined and incentives offered such as housing and travel support, to attract personnel to those stations with the highest workload.

Draskovics himself cannot travel to the United States because he’d be arrested at the airport of his choice due to a successful legal lawsuit against him. Draskovics elvtars knows full well, that he’s toast. He knows he’s toast in Hungary, knows that he needs to pick other escape routes with the stolen money.
