The radical right-wing party Jobbik will organise a demonstration outside the Finance Ministry and the neighbouring headquarters of the banking federation for Monday evening. The party is angered by banks’ unilateral increase in monthly loan payments due from clients.
It said “as the forint has been stable on the foreign currency market for three months, nothing justifies a raise, but banks keep raising the instalments unilaterally by an average of 20-30% recently, with reference to contracts established by them”.

Normally such an event would attract a few hundred protesters and very few would take any notice about it.
This time it is the first time Jobbik arranges a non-Magyar Garda related demo, so it will be interesting to see how everyone will play the Magyar Garda card.
Will they be in uniform, march order, etc or a few dotted costumes here and there?
How will the Police act on a possible display of ‘illegal activities’ if Magyar Garda shows up in something that must be seen as an organisation.
I would assume Jobbik will use this opportunity to try to ‘be attacked by the Police’ to get some prolonged media coverage as being the ‘outsider’.

This question cannot be hard to understand, but it has been extremely hard to answer. No one has done it yet, only abuse.

It is the essential point to why create a totally new and competing organization to the normal Police. They need to have buildings, leaders, trainers, cars, everything a separate organization needs. A lot of investment. And they will of course be ‘better’ than the normal Police, so they need a higher salary.
The proposal will just be more expensive and the original Gendarmerie was not even real Police Officers, just old soldiers that were suppose to work as Police Officers. Hardly what would work today.
Then to the question – why should they only work in the countryside? If they now will be so good, I want them in my fancy district in Budapest, of course.
The most gratifying reason is because the establishment detests the Gendarmerie. For only this one reason it would be enough for me.
Not to mention there dual role in police, military training and a higher education level.
