Some of the ministers in Gordon Bajnai’s government may leave their post after passing the 2010 budget to assume top functions for the Socialist party’s campaign for the 2010 elections, Nepszabadsag daily said on Monday.
Two ministers, Adam Ficsor in charge of the civilian secret services and Csaba Molnar, head of the Prime Minister’s Office, according to the paper, will most likely be chosen as additional members to the party’s main operative body for the elections, the national election committee (ovb).
Defence Minister Imre Szekeres is seen to become campaign chief, said the paper.
Another member of the Bajnai cabinet, Social Policy Minister Peter Kiss, is also expected to leave his post after passing next year’s budget, a vote on which is set for November.
It must be a real quandary this time.
