Minister says police will disperse neo-Nazi demonstrators

Minister of Justice and Law Enforcement Tibor Draskovics confirmed that Hungarian police would disperse neo-Nazi marches planned in the capital city on Saturday.

“No one championing the Nazi ideology should be allowed to assemble in Hungary. Police have to prevent such attempts,” the minister told public television M1 late on Wednesday.

Draskovics was interviewed after Budapest police had prohibited nine marches planned in Budapest, allegedly to mark the death anniversary of Nazi leader Rudolf Hess, Adolf Hitler’s deputy, on Saturday.

Such marches would violate several international treaties, the Hungarian constitution and the Public Assembly Act, which states that gatherings may not constitute or promote a criminal act, and may not infringe on the rights, the dignity and the freedoms of others, Draskovics said.

“Fascism has demonstrated hundreds and thousands of times that it grossly endangers the dignity, freedoms and rights of others,” he said.

The minister expressed the hope that all would abide by the law on Saturday. Otherwise, he said, “there will be an appropriate police force in place”.

Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai and President Laszlo Solyom both spoke out against the planned marches earlier, saying that neo-Nazi gatherings were unwelcome in Hungary. Main opposition Fidesz has said that if in government, it would ban such events.

Really? Then why the hell did the police use kid gloves with the
neo-Nazis who attacked the gay march in 2008? I seem to
remember it was we gays who were fearing for our lives, and yes,
those neo-Nazis were able to “infringe on the rights, the dignity
and the freedoms” of the marchers. Are Hungarians only now
realizing their country is in danger of becoming a complete joke?

Hmmm, don’t tolerate nazis but we tolerate Gay fags at Budapest pride parade, if you ask me supporting gay lifestyle is as extremist as you can get….

  3. budapestvet says:

Thanks for proving my point, Gandi. You’re as classy as the
    Hungarian whores on Vaci.

Well if you see how these gays behave in public parades then you would understand why majority of people don’t want it to be advertised. Gays are not natural, but perverted and destroy family values “If people knew better, they would do better.” I believe any normal person would never knowingly hurt him/herself. Unfortunately gays are ignorant and too self centered on there sexual lust and this may apply to Heterosexual also who are perverted, and public display of sexuality or hard core porn should also be censored. Keep it off the streets, at least.

Of course if laws and rules are violated, the perpetrators should be arrested and convicted, no discussion.
To my knowledge the only crimes committed in relation to previous Pride demos have been by the counter-demonstrators that have actively physically abused participants.
That you do not ‘like’ what people do, does not make it illegal.

a list of great videos well worth viewing

    Koppany,
I see where you get your ideas from:
“WE DEMAND GOD GOVERNMENT ON EARTH!”
But how do I recognize God?
Is Vona his representative, or is the Pope still occupying that chair?

  8. Koppany says:

Just look at the videos which caught my eye.

  9. budapestvet says:

Nationalist, you are FOS. Gay festivals that feature dancing and
singing are no worse than Carnivale. And last year’s march in
Budapest was a picture of respectability on the part of the gays–
we were in regular street clothes, just walking with friends.
Meanwhile in District V, the flower of Hungarian womanhood is out
selling her stuff every night, and people are having actual sex in
the streets around Ferenciek Tere . . . I’ve seen it. Maybe you
should tell your mother to get a room.

If “nazis” are banned from the streets of Hungary
then so should the gayboys ball(s) be too.
They are both equally repugnant and tiresome.

  11. budapestvet says:

SzántóGabriella(Miss): Are you utterly incapable of critical
discernment? How is a group of human beings coming together to
preserve life and rights equal to a group of haters who want to
destroy life and rights? But by all means, keep celebrating the
Nazis. Hungary is already on the edge of civilization; why not just
join Serbia and make your crazy status official!

Koppany Camalot! A probably ficticeous place (some say it is Stonehenge) Filled with naked woad covered Celtic warriors who worshiped goddesses like ‘Brig’ and ‘Hel’. I agree with you this lot are a load of ‘Balm pots’! And you want a load of celibate, child molesting bigots to run the place! Sling your hook matey.
