Ministry drafting new rules for police action against demonstrators

A supplement to the police decree on dispersing crowds, now being drafted at the Justice and Law Enforcement Ministry, proposes that demonstrators who resist police instructions should primarily be stopped and that police may only strike or kick demonstrators as a last resort. Even then they may not target the temple, throat, kidney or genitals.

The modification would allow police to strike blows or kick others only to avert direct attacks on their person. The supplement says it is forbidden to use rubber bullets or to strike demonstrators with the flat part of swords.

“The Hungarian Police still use swords?”
The (horse) mounted Hungarian police do carry swords – sabres I think, which the Magyars first brought to Europe. I like it, but then I’m a traditionalist. Guns I find scary.

No temple, throat, kidney or genitals?
No problem, that still leaves the kneecaps, the heart, back of the head… we’ll be fine, lads.

Obviously time to update their riot-gear and equip the horses also with eye and leg protection.

Well, In my part of the Buda Hills we do not see so many demonstrators, nor horses, with or without a Police Officer mounted on top of it.
I have no problem asking a question, even if it reveals I do not know the answer.
Which may have been the reason for asking the question.
Good that we have such upright persons around us that have superior knowledge on each little detail, not only in Hungary, but obviously on the rest of the world also.

The supplement went on to remind police that they should always
use a courteous tone when addressing neo-Nazis who are prying
up cobblestones from the street in order to throw them at the
heads of gays, as well as to be careful not to wrinkle the Nazis fine
clothing when they are throwing rotten eggs.
If anyone needs a refresher course, then please see video of last
year’s gay “festival” when hundreds of police were called out to do
nothing, apparently, but allow toothless thugs to wreck and cancel
    a civilized event.

  10. beju says:

    Yes budapestvet,
The underlying question obviously never occurred to you why a “gay parade” is always and protected, promoted and advertized didn’t it? And yes I dare draw a comparison to Rudolf Hess’ birthday commemoration planned on this weekend.
No normal person would take part in either.
But putting one before the other really masks the intent of the powers at be for the sake of power of behest. Wouldn’t you think?

Too much spanking from the resident ‘Nationalist’ whip, bob in his countrybunker?

Or beju has finally and officially declared himself for not being a “normal person”?
    Quelle surprise!

  12. beju says:

    Viking,
Now how do you know I won’t attend?
Are you the non-existent gendarmerie you despise around here publicly?

Maybe you should use 2 different aliases?
Obviously you do not need to hide your schizophrenia any more.
Maybe your question should be more like:
‘Now how do I know I won’t attend?’

  15. budapestvet says:

beju: “The underlying question obviously never occurred to you

If the police were “protecting” last year’s gay fest in Bp, then it was
a pathetic job of protection. We ourselves ended up being gassed,
some were injured, and whole event was ruined. That wasn’t
“protection.” That was a lot of police coming out only to ensure
that neo-Nazis were able to accomplish their goals.

  16. Viking says:

Just to add an observation to all these moralists that would like to take their GrandMother for a walk when the Parade is:
    - I have 2 places in the outskirts of Budapest were I take my dogs for a walk. Both places are frequented by female prostitutes and their male customers. This is totally legal and I and my dogs have to watch blow-jobs and other parts of the trade.
    -
So, being upset that two persons of the same sex show their feelings for each other, is that worse than getting sex for everyone to see in the open for money?
Maybe you moralists should take your GrandMother there instead of the Parade, if she is so sensitive?

  17. Sophist says:

    Viking,
do you seriously believe that anyone posting to these blogs is going to accept that you “HAVE TO” take your dogs for a walk through a red light district. (From a animal welfare perspective, I would have thought that used condoms were a choking hazard.)
Admit it, you like the abuse that reins down on your posts.

  18. Viking says:

    Sophist,
There are other reasons why I walk in those forests and its not for the girls. On the other hand nowadays they are everywhere so where should I go?
As I wrote these 2 places are in the real outskirts, so they are far away from the city center.
But I agree with the litter-factor, but my dogs are more clever than that.
On the other hand, when I had them in my Balaton-place, it was the same thing there on the local Puszta. They are everywhere and it is obviously totally legal and accepted.
When you check the customers they are typical Hungarian middle-class, no shit cars, some (most) more expensive than my own.
I suppose the girls take them there for the same reasons I go with the dogs – no people.

  19. Pávaszem says:

@ReindeerFucker: “There are other reasons why I walk in those forests” Of course. Where else would you ride Ingalill and Kajsa? http://www.saariselka.fi/kuvapankki/reindeer%20ride2.JPG You couldn’t well do it downtown! I mean you could but you would get arrested again. And to call them dogs is just mean. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Sophist: “Viking, …Admit it, you like the abuse that reins down on your posts” :) Why does the Lapp remind me of Red Eva, Lesbian Queen of the Bassets? And, he’s not even Swede. Real Swedes like *Donald Boström* http://www.aftonbladet.se/kultur/article5652583.ab are COOL! ;)

In difference to you I actually have met Donald Boström about 25-30 years ago when all the current big wigs started out in journalism, so I know him a bit.
I read his original article, but I do not think he did a good work. It is too much open for criticism and he basically does not deliver any proof, just a few questions.
For myself, I have no problem agreeing to the thought that organs are/were stolen from killed Palestinians, but to write that article, based on 20 year old photos and experiences, is a typical “need to write to get some money to pay the bills” behaviour.

  22. John Simpson says:

A lot of in-fighting on this site mainly revolving around the lager-lout Viking.
The real enemy though are the politicians. Do not be sidetracked by the unsound and negative argument often used by posters that have ulterior
    motives for doing so.
A totally inept and corrupt government is at the heart of Hungary’s problems. Focus on this fact and, perhaps, one day soon the commie scum will be consigned to hell, or Siberia. Whichever is nearer!

    TamasTakács at August 22, 2009 12:49 PM

Blaming the Jews and the non-existing “commie scum” is of course not an “unsound and negative argument”.
    Wonder why?
Try to accept that people vote for politicians, good or bad. When your only argument is that the Hungarian Government is bad and hence responsible for “the way this country has plummeted into social and economic decline in recent times”, you are exaggerating the power of the Hungarian Government. When not even the US Government, which must be considering the worlds most powerful, could not stop the short-time financial collapse, who can then believe an Hungarian Government, even with Vona Gabor as PM would be able to do any *real* difference.
You are also claiming that people are stopped from demonstrating – who has been stopped from protesting the Government’s policies?
Neo-Nazi demos celebrating some foreigner are hardly counted as public protests in this field of politics.

@the Lapp Reindeer Fan: How do you know I haven’t met Boström? “I do not think he did a good work” Of course not. Jyllands-Posten’s Muhammad cartoons are good work, so much so that Brandeis university’s Jytte Klausen, keeper of the flame of hatred, just tried to publish them again /nytimes.com/2009/08/13/books/13book.html Good work is whatever is ‘good for the Jews,’ right? Here http://bit.ly/32maFe is what Boström wrote in English. He talks about his own experiences in Palestine where he was a reporter, the FBI bust in New Jersey and other indications of the ‘Jewish’ body parts trade. In an interview with PresTV http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=104397 he added that the IDF demands NIS 5,000 (about $1,300) to return the bodies of murdered Arabs minus internal organs. In an other interview with PressTv he tells how the French government after a thorough investigation *blacklisted Israel for trafficking sex, labor and human organs.* (They’ve just got off BTW the US State Department’s blacklist for human trafficking. I wonder if the Kosher Nostra bust will put them back although with BO and his handlers I somehow doubt it.) “to get some money to pay the bills behaviour” You are such a liar! You know there is no money in what he did. People get paid for his type of behavior like Anna Lindh got ‘paid’ or Jörg Haider. Boström will be dead too as soon as he is out of the limelight and he’s been promised as much presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=104375 already.

  27. Viking says:

    Pávaszem,
You write a fucking lot of bull-shit.
You totally build your argument on your *assumption* that I in anyway is sympathic to the Jewish State of Israel. I am not, so you can drop that BS.
    I actually wrote:

“I read his original article, but I do not think he did a good work.
    Viking at August 22, 2009 7:55 AM”

I still think the *article* was done in a hast and all “proofs” are 20 years old photos on autopsied bodies, nothing more. Donald just relays what the Palestinians are saying about organ-theft, no proof is given. No one opens the dead body to verify it is empty on organs.
There are a lot of *assumptions* in Donald’s article and no real facts. All hear-say.
To Donald’s defence for not really finding a proof for illegal organ-trade, Donald was not in the of Israel occupied parts (today Palestinian Authority) to work on this specific organ-snatching story. It was a side-track and after the happenings in New York he saw a chance to get an article published nation-wide (which is not always so easy).
    Today he is a world-famous.
    Good for him.

  28. Insurrection says:

@Mr assumption, your giving advice? gee you are really living in Lalla land you clown.

  29. Viking says:

    Insurrection,
    No more arguments left?

  30. Pávaszem says:

@Wiking: “assumption that I in anyway is sympathic to the Jewish State of Israel. I am not…” Of course you ain’t. You were raised in a Hit Gyülekezete (Pentecostal) like Christian Zionist community then for some reason converted to Marxism and Marxists don’t like Israel. OK? As for Boström, we may safely assume that his editors knew the kind of reaction they were looking forward to and the article was probably in one way or another compromised. It may even have been compromised intentionally by some editors who are sympathetic to Israel. “based on 20 year old photos… hearsay” 17 year old photos but if it makes you happy call them 20. And the article was actually based on the July arrests of a bunch of rabbis in New Jersey who were proven to traffic in human organs. The 17 year old photo and Boström’s not hearsay but eyewitness account merely implies that these horrors have gone on for decades as one of the busted rabbis even admitted.

  31. Viking says:

    Pávaszem,
Because Donald’s article was not so good, it opened up for criticism. And the current Israeli administration has a lot of problems internally, so they did the usual thing – attack the bloody foreigners.
This is though not only about this article, it is about EU’s participation in the so called Mid-East Peace Process and Sweden has the EU Chair this Autumn, so now Israel is hitting back at EU, to in some way defer the pressure from the Obama Administration.
It is just politics on a high level and Donald got mixed up in it.
I find it strange that there has not been any earlier reports on this type of organ-theft from killed Palestinians from the Israeli side. Normally when you have these situations, you will find your group of Israelis who react against it, like we now have Israeli soldiers coming forward and criticising what they did during the latest Gaza-invasion. Those are the real brave people.
Remember the Israeli nuclear possibility came from a well-known whistle-blower.
Not having anyone in any *organized organ-theft from dead Palestinians on a larger scale* makes me wonder. That it could have happen in certain cases, I have no problem believing, but people rob banks also.

What a beautiful human being… But if he hates us so much, why does he live in Hungary I wonder? Why doesn’t he move to Africa where he could be among the people he likes?
@Wiking, “pressure from the Obama Administration” :) ) Are you kidding? What pressure? “politics on a high level” Like anything pertaining to Israel? Why is Israel so important? It’s smaller than Burundi for Christ’s sake. “there has not been any earlier reports” There have been tons despite Israel’s record of snuffing reports (and reporters) and investigations into Palestinian deaths sometimes by just labeling them ‘antisemitic’ and sometimes going as far as shooting at or even killing investigators as evidenced during the recent assault on Gaza.

  49. Pávaszem says:

@Wiking, cont.: Over 50% of Palestinians murdered by the IDF are autopsied at Abu Kabir, near Tel Aviv, that has been for decades at the center of a trade in organs that became a scandal inside Israel long before the New Jersey rabbis bust. Almost all of the autopsies performed at Abu Kabir, the only institute in Israel that conducts such autopsies are BTW unnecessary. The doctor behind the plunder of body parts, Prof. Yehuda Hiss, appointed director of the Abu Kabir institute has never been jailed despite admitting to the organ theft and he continues to be the state’s chief pathologist at the institute. Hiss was in charge of the autopsies of Palestinians already when Bostrom was listening to the families’ claims in 1992. Hiss was subsequently investigated twice, in 2002 and 2005, over the theft of body parts on a large scale. Allegations of Hiss’ illegal trade in organs was first revealed in 2000 by investigative reporters at the Yediot Aharonot newspaper, which reported that he had price listings for body parts… Apparently undeterred by these revelations, Hiss still had an array of body parts in his possession at Abu Kabir when the Israeli courts ordered a search in 2002. Israel National News reported at the time: ‘Over the past years, heads of the institute appear to have given thousands of organs for research without permission, while maintaining a ‘storehouse’ of organs at Abu Kabir.’ http://electronicintifada.net/v2/article10753.shtml How does that grab you, Lapp?

But, as we all know, they are there to keep a lid on the anger currently building up against the

Wiking: “How is this an Hungarian issue?” Have you read http://www.politics.hu/20090819/mayor-continues-to-get-sick-dirty-money-in-jail#c11 ‘the Health Sciences Council discovered that organ extractions logged by Hungarian physicians were in fact performed by unqualified foreigners?’ Wouldn’t you say an inquiry into just who those ‘unqualified foreigners’ are is more than called for? “Palestinian Authority has started their own investigation” Don’t be ridiculous, they are puppets.

  53. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

  54. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
