Parliament’s immunity committee on Tuesday asked for more documents from the Prosecutor General and put off a decision on suspending the right of Democratic Forum chairwoman Ibolya Dávid and MP Károly Herényi to immunity from prosecution.
The prosecutors asked Parliament to suspend the two MPs’ right to immunity in late June on suspicion of abuse of data in connection with data collection company UD. Both Dávid and Herényi have asked that their right be suspended.
Committee chairman Alajos József Géczi said the committee is not sabotaging a decision but would like to have more documents from the prosecutor general.
Fidesz deputy spokesman András Cser-Palkovics said the Socialist Party is using the secret services for political ends and the Forum is its accomplice.
