Gábor Benke, head of the New Social Democrat People’s Party, climbed up the Szabadság bridge on Wednesday afternoon, vowing not to come down until he received an appointment for a meeting with President László Sólyom.
Benke wanted to protest against corruption and claimed that small parties cannot express their voice anywhere.
After fire-fighters helped him down from the bridge, Benke was taken away by ambulance for medical observation.
Trams did not operate for about 45 minutes while the bridge was closed.

Well now THAT would be a little embarrassing!
Not only not getting the meeting, he gets escorted down and taken in for observation. I wonder what ward he was admitted to…one the requires a pretty white jacket and long sleeves per chance?
