Fidesz demands investigation into Ft 500 million grant to civic group

Fidesz is turning to the Prosecutor General in regards to a Ft 500 million (over €1.8 million) grant from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Leader public benefit organization, inforadio.hu reported.

Fidesz MP Sándor Font pointed out that the address of the organization, Diófa utca 13 in Kazár, is the same address where the Socialist affiliated Balegyenes Munkacsoport organization was also registered. Font implied that the latter organization would use the money to support the Socialists in next year’s election campaign.

Agriculture Minister József Gráf denied the allegations.

How strange! Recycled and redirected public money
finding its way into the socialist MSZP piggy bank?
Just another hundred million euros to locate in
offshore accounts and private bank accouints and
every Hungarian might sleep a little easier in the knowledge that their corrupt, selfish, embezzling politicians, have been exposed! Or, uncovered, if you please!

Going around on the Hungarian countryside you can see some “Leader”-signs. Finally I understood why.
That the Ministry would send the money in cash to the the street address, sounds a bit strange. I think they use bank-transfers.
Like any organization receiving money they should declare what they used it for. These money always comes with plans and demands.
Sounds more like an election-ploy if they have no more specific accusations.
