Hungary’s former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany is not planning to set up a party of his own, Gyurcsany’s office told MTI on Thursday, in reaction to a report in conservative weekly Heti Valasz.
“Gyurcsany supports unity within the (minority governing) Socialist Party,” the office told MTI in a statement.
According to Heti Valasz, Gyurcsany has met several liberal intellectuals for talks on a possible new party to address “currently passive social-liberal voters”.
Gyurcsany’s office dismissed the report as unfounded.
In April, Parliament’s constructive no-confidence motion removed Gyurcsany from his position as prime minister, soon after he had resigned as head of the Socialist Party.

Good, now go get a job, the last think Hungary needs is yet another loser party.
Fuck me,our resident troll made his first ever intelligent comment! Well done yank, now when are you signing up to join the attack on Iran, great patriot that you are?
@Ricsi (as elite insider)
When Jobbik/MG will come out from the closet and admit that their “political action” has been just a marketing trick to sell more Kárpátia CD´s and merchandize?
Now playing: Tábori posta
Gormless Gyurcsany should seek help and not be
harbouring the illusion that he can return.
Liberal and intellectual – which of these does
“gobstopper” think he is?
Frankie should fuck off once and for all because
in real terms he should be dangling by his ankles from the same lampost where the Stork builds its nest.
Intellectual and liberal what a deadly cocktail
for any mis-guided ponce to believe they can
launch a political party on such a deluded assumption…mmm
Well it’s not like they don’t have any money to start a new party.
