Gyurcsany still costing the nation millions each year

gyurcsany-open-mouth.jpgDue to the various laws on severance packages given to former public officials who served in the highest capacities, former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány is still costing Hungarian taxpayers approximately Ft 20 million a year, borsonline.hu reports. Though one of the richest men in Hungary, Gyurcsány will have a chauffer-driven Audi at his disposal until 2013, along with several aids, all paid for by the state. The secret service unit in charge of protecting Gyurcsány would not disclose how much money is spent keeping him safe, though the sum will no doubt increase once people realize how even after resigning he’s still such a drain on the nation.

Really Hungary, WTF, its not like he works for BKV? Someone should introduce a new tax (they really have a lot of practice at it), taxing all benefits at an 85% rate on those in public service who’s net worth is 25x the average Hungarian. If they need it they can god-damn pay for it themselves.

Jeeeezus. I’d say kill him, but the benefits would probably pass to his kids if he died. Plus an extra payment to help them cope.

Whether you agree with it or not, I do agree with a certin level of protection for the guy for anything because of some of the stuff he has been privy to because of his time in office.
