MDF leader addresses congress of British Conservatives

Populism and political demagoguery have once again “become popular” in Europe, conservative opposition MDF leader Ibolya David told the British Conservative Party congress on Thursday.

David is an honorary guest at the event in Manchester.

She said Europe was facing several problems that had earlier been considered things of the past. Demagoguery and populism offer easy solutions, she said, adding that many politicians try to develop overgrowing state administration.

MDF continues to be dedicated to small, efficient and honest government, David said.

Did not Fidesz speak at the Tory congress?
The “Populism and political demagoguery” line would maybe have hit at Fidesz?
