The national board of the ruling Socialist party is to put forward a list of five possible candidates to represent Hungary in the European Commission, the party's leader Ildiko Lendvai told MTI on Tuesday.
Lendvai said the party recommended to Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai that he choose between Janos Veres, the former finance minister, Edit Herczog, currently an MEP, Laszlo Andor, a member of the EBRD board of directors, incumbent Laszlo Kovacs and Agnes Vadai, deputy defence minister.
