Budapest district government accused of running whorehouse

bordello-districtxviii.jpgThe Socialist government of Budapest’s District XVIII (Pestszentlőrinc) spent public funds on a bordello, according to a juicy report – including shots taken with hidden cameras – by Hír TV. The Socialist-unfriendly channel charges that the SZAC Hotel (left) was being run by a company of former Assistant Mayor János Bodnár, and the district contributed an annual Ft 9 million (€34,000) to the costs of its operation, which included lots of pay-for-shag.

The charges were denied by current Assistant Mayor Sándor Szaniszló, who said that the money had been used to support operation of the hotel’s football field. Nevertheless, following Hír TV’s report, the operating rights of the hotel were handed over to a company owned by the district government, which means the whores are now running the bordello.
