FM says Lisbon Treaty should not be re-opened

A solution needs to be found for the introduction of the Lisbon Treaty that does not require the amendment of the treaty and the re-opening of the ratification process, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Balazs said on Monday.

Balazs told a meeting of EU foreign ministers that the solution should not affect any of the countries’ national laws and should affect only those countries that have not completed the ratification process.

Balazs told the meeting that Hungary was the first to ratify the Lisbon Treaty nearly two years ago and has been waiting for the process to be completed since.

Balazs expressed agreement with the EU strategy for the Baltic Sea and said it could also be a model for future macro-regional cooperation projects, such as the Danube strategy, to be approved during Hungary’s EU presidency in 2011.

well he had to be ashamed that his fellow traitors signed the lissabon treaty (first) and gave away the independence of Hungary to a foreign power named the EU……
These traitors have to be brought to justice soon.

    Hardly.
Except Jobbik and its fringe friends there is no political majority behind your proposal.
Also are not you complaining that the EU does not do anything against the Slovak Language Law?
How would EU do that if you did not give them the power to do that?
Or is the EU just to bully ‘anti-Hungarian’ countries and parties?

I don’t understand. Why play some sort of an underdog all the time??????
What gives the power to other nations and ethnicities to demand reparations but not Hungary, which lost over 70% of its territory 90 years ago? That’s not “a long time ago”.
What gives the right to other nations to bring laws against a “language” not to be spoken and get away with it?
What gives the right to measure out a blanket punishment to people for belonging to an ethnicity and language (Benes Decree) and get away with it?
Why are these “politicians” in the Hungarian government working against their own people?
There is an old saying in the USA
If it walks like a duck,
    Quacks like a duck
    flies like a duck
    swims like a duck
    Then it’s a duck.
Logical conclusion leads to believe, that these are sellout traitors. Less than a hundred years ago, they would have been hanged for their crimes.
