Liberal caucus leader not to seek reelection as MP, slams party

Free Democrat Caucus Leader Péter Gusztos will not run in the 2010 general elections, reports daily Népszabadság.

Gusztos explained his decision by saying that the SZDSZ had “denied itself” and only “mimed renewal” so he did “not wish to be a part of what was going on.”

He added Hungary’s Liberal voters would deserve a strong party, so their political representation will have to be rebuilt from the ground up after 2010.
