Foreign ministers of Hungary and Slovakia in talks Tuesday

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Balazs will hold a working meeting with Slovak counterpart Miroslav Lajcak on Tuesday, the Slovak ministry spokesman said on Monday.

The ministers will first meet on the Hungarian side of the border in Rarospuszta to place the foundation stone of a new bridge on the River Ipoly, then attend a presentation in Ipolytarnoc on cross-border projects.

After this, the ministers will travel for talks to Banska Bystrica in central Slovakia. “Basically, the meeting will focus on assessing the fulfilment of the 11-point programme approved at the meeting of the Slovak and Hungarian prime ministers in Szecseny (N Hungary) on September 10. As it is understood, the programme aims at improving bilateral relations,” said the spokesman Peter Stano.

After the talks, Balazs and Lajcak will give a lecture to students at the local Bel Matyas University.
