The Hungarian government welcomes that the State Audit Office (ASZ) will launch a programme to survey corruption risks, government spokesman Domokos Szollar told MTI on Tuesday.
ASZ General Secretary Pal Csapodi announced earlier on Tuesday that the office will start a project to map corruption risks in the autumn of 2010. The costs of the project will about to 286.5 million forints (EUR 1.07m), to be part-financed by the European Union.
The comprehensive survey will cover thousands of administrative organisations, which will be asked to fill a questionnaire to be posted onto the internet.
The government is committed to a more transparent public life and the struggle against corruption, the spokesman said.
