The Hungarian Parliament on Monday approved a political statement voicing concern over Ukrainian measures discriminating against the ethnic Hungarian minority.
The document cautions that "frequent anti-minority expressions" in the Ukrainian media may lead to a deterioration of relations between communities of different ethnicity in the country.
"Ukraine's administration increasingly limits the right of minorities" - including those of the Hungarian community - to education in minority languages, it said.
Hungarian Parliament declared its preparedness to jointly survey the problems with Ukraine and seek solutions.
The statement was approved by 331 votes, with eight abstentions.
Hungary has repeatedly expressed concern over Ukraine's amendments to its educational laws, which heavily impact basic human and minority rights of ethnic Hungarians, and prevent them from cultivating the community's traditions.
