Apparently one of my colleagues wasn’t the only one to think that Socialist parliamentary faction leader Attila Mesterházy looked a bit scary with his facial hair. Following the decision to make him the Socialists’ prime ministerial candidate for next year, Mesterházy appeared clean shaven at a party function, following criticism of his facial hair, index.hu reports. What was truly inspired, however, is the photo taken by Szabolcs Barakonyi (seen here) which accompanied the article. While its not certain if Barakonyi deliberately took the photo from this angle, whoever picked if for the article certainly had Mesterházy’s resemblance of the Prince of Darkness in mind.

I have to say, Orbán would also look better if he had inherited Mesterházy’s ‘anchor’, hides the increasingly double chin even more than his ridiculous oversized collars do. As the Reakció blog seemed to agree under the title ‘Vándorbajusz’ (kb. ‘Wander Whiskers’)
