Hungary’s Parliament will vote on the government’s package of anti-corruption laws on Monday, government spokesman Domokos Szollar told MTI on Sunday.
The package contains amendments seeking to increase the transparency of political campaigns, ensure tracking the disbursement of public funds and promote public trust in state administration, Szollar said.
If Parliament adopts the package, its new tools — such as a new anti-corruption authority or special protection for those calling the authorities’ attention to corruption — will effectively fight “signs of graft which irritate the whole of society”, the spokesman said.
