Prime Minister stresses he took post for no longer than a year

“The upcoming elections will be a struggle between responsibility and demagoguery, window dressing and power lust,” Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai said in an interview with the weekly 168 Óra on Thursday.

Asked whether he will return to politics for the left wing, Bajnai said he would not want to be a party politician and added that “I stated well in advance that I would only take the post of prime minister for one year”.

“We have taken the first steps on the path to euro adoption, which is in sight,” Bajnai said, adding that at the elections he will “help those who continue to choose the common-sense path”. Bajnai expressed hopes that the unemployment rate will not go over 11% and stressed that 100,000 jobs have so far been saved through state subsidies.

This is all the least interesting parts of the interview. Those who can should read the original http://bit.ly/4WsEDw
