PM says “iron curtain” divides Hungary into political camps

The “iron curtain” which divides Hungary into political camps should be torn down, Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai said Wednesday in an interview with Austrian daily Die Presse.

A wide-ranging political agreement is necessary in Hungary, he remarked, as the political division is unhealthy and presents one of the biggest obstacles to reform.

Jobbik and similar groups are not products of the financial crisis, Bajnai said, rather the sharp political division and the increasingly aggressive political discourse prepared the ground for such extremist movements.

It is the task of the defining political forces to find real answers, bridge existing differences, “and place Jobbik and similar parties under quarantine and prevent infection,” Bajnai remarked.

Regarding the economy, Bajnai noted that the forint has strengthened by 15% since the cabinet took office, and the 2009 budget deficit of 3.8% of GDP will be one of the lowest in Europe. Hungary has not relied on IMF assistance for the past six months, he added.

GDP is expected to shrink by 0.6% this year, then to show 3.5-4% growth in 2011, he said, adding that a key task is to combat unemployment, currently at 10.5%.

Who does LIBATOLVAJ Bajnai thinks is fooling? After destroying hundreds of Hungarian farmers and transferring what he stole from the people he ruined to his offshore accounts, the Communist MSZP/SZDSZ mafia appoints him PM. His appointment will go down in Hungarian history as one of the most bizarre displays of Communist/Zionist stupidity and arrogance.

So Mark suggests that this “iron curtain” does not exist, or should stay there?

  3. Mark says:

Libatolvaj Bajnai should not worry about “iron curtain”. He should worry about iron bars he and others like him will be looking at after they are called to account for their crimes against Hungary and the Hungarian people.
