There have been numerous instances of unauthorised persons collecting nomination papers on behalf of Fidesz candidates, according to reports. Some fraudsters are allegedly forging credentials of official activists.
Fidesz is reporting each case to the authorities and cautions voters to take care. In Nógrád county nominations were collected on behalf of Fidesz MP István Rácz by offering food packages in exchange for the forms.
Fidesz has asked voters to give nomination forms only to activists whose credentials were signed by party director Gábor Kubatov.
