Fidesz to launch new investigation into police brutality in 2006

According to index.hu, Fidesz plans to launch an investigation into former Budapest police chief Péter Gergényi and national police chief László Bene over police brutality during the riots in the fall of 2006. What makes this extra interesting is that Fidesz expects this investigation to be conducted by former and likely future interior minister Sándor Pintér, who has been on friendly terms with Gergényi in the past, even launching an unsuccessful travel agency in the process.

    elections are coming guys!!
    Then we get these kind of lies and then even bad ones….. Fidesz expects this investigation to be conducted by Sándor Pintér, who has been on friendly terms with former Budapest police chief Gergényi in the past!!!!

    I was just wondering. Is Sandor Pinter the guy they called “The Ten Percent”, referring to the cut he took of illegal enterprises? Or am I thinking of someone else? If anybody could shed some light on who this guy is, I’d appeciate it. Is he the same guy who was investigated by the F.B.I. ( the US federal law enforcement agency) in the 90′s?

    @Kapuszta Killah: The usual suspects have been running profiles on various politicians since Nov. last year at least. Search under ‘Ismerjük meg Fideszes politikusainkat! – Pintér Sándor’ then take your pick of barikad.hu, szentkoronaradio.hu, kuruc.hu etc… I have to admit, even as gossip, some of it is interesting
