Attila Mesterhazy, the Socialist party’s prime-minister candidate, has challenged Fidesz leader Viktor Orban to a public debate.
In a video-message on Wednesday, Mesterhazy proposed health, education, economic policy and national defence as topics for the bout, which he said should take place between February 22 and March 15.
The message posted on YouTube and Facebook is addressed directly to Orban.
