The Fidesz-Christian Democrat alliance has collected over one million nominations, executive director Zsolt Nyitrai announced on Sunday. He said the party’s target of two million nominations remains a realistic goal, adding that no other party has collected as many as Fidesz.
Candidates for MP have collected about 1.15 million nomination forms and activists are holding many more. If the party gathers two million forms before the March 19 deadline they will continue to gather the forms, as meeting with potential voters matters to Fidesz, Nyitrai said.
