Fidesz and Jobbik have common goals; the difference lies only in the methods, Budapest city council Fidesz caucus leader István Tarlós told local forums in Budapest last week.
Tarlós said the two parties agree that people must be held accountable, share identical views about the defence of culture as well as on Roma and the status of ethnic Hungarians abroad, but Fidesz wants to establish accountability according to the rule of law.
Tarlós told Népszabadság on Friday that what he said at the forums does not mean any ideological or other kind of alliance is being forged. “If someone twists these words, it will obviously be Népszabadság and Népszava. One cannot defend oneself against human stupidity. Anyone who draws far reaching consequences from pragmatic remarks is crazy, or of an immeasurably bad will,” he asserted.

So Jobbik is just a ‘fast-path’ variant of Fidesz?
I suppose that statement earned a lot of young voters to Fidesz?
.
As usual Tarlós is muddling the Fidesz’ divide to Jobbik, as he did in September 2006 and was probably the main reason why Demszky could keep his job and Fidesz did not get a majority in the Budapest Council
The Jobbik people I know in Budapest always loved Tarlós and the love is obviously and strangely answered back
MSZP’s best election argument in Budapest = Tarlós István
Pisti will have ample time to screw up with politically stupid comments as above, before the Autumn Local Elections, if now Fidesz does not postpone those elections, as been whispered
Any vote given to Fidesz is a vote given to the former communists called MSZP. They openly forge alliances with each other and they would even have cooperation on the national level as a coalition government. MSZP’s prime ministerial candidate even said that their candidates would withdraw their candidacy in favor of Fidesz if they see that Jobbik’s candidate can take over that position. Fidesz cannot be trusted as long as people like Sandor Csintalan (former communist, then MSZP member) is the main talking head of Fidesz owned (Csintalan part owner himself) News Television (Hir TV). Fidesz’s parliamentary group leader, Tibor Navracsics was the teacher of MSZP’s prime ministerial candidate. The two parties voted together to add provisions to a law that would make it almost impossible to uncover the crimes politicians committed in the past 20 years. Anybody who has just a little common sense can see the writing on the wall. Fidesz and MSZP will form a coalition for the ‘greater good of society’, ‘for the interest of the Hungarian people’ (does not matter what kind of excuse they use) to prevent the ‘evil’ Jobbik getting into power. Then and only then Fidesz voters will probably wake up, but by then it is going to be too late for them. They will have gotten screwed for the third time by then. Regardless of their rhetoric, there is a very good chance that Fidesz and MSZP will form a coalition. That is why nobody should vote for Fidesz because it is a totally wasted vote.
So anyone with the right mind would vote for Jobbik if they want real change in Hungary.

But what “real change” can Jobbik do inside the current frame-work, like the Constitution etc
Many of Jobbik’s proposals need changes to the Constitution and without 2/3 majority the Constitution cannot be changed
-
So, the real “totally wasted vote” is for Jobbik, then much of their rhetoric is just hot air until they have full power, which will not happen this election and that was it
Next election Jobbik will either have split or be so discredited like the Austrian situation
Probably both
-
Jobbik is the 2010 ‘One Night Stand’ and will collect many of the righteous protest-votes from people disappointed over their situation and over the politicians that they have elected before

This is really scary: ‘Anybody who has just a little common sense can see the writing on the wall. Fidesz and MSZP will form a coalition for the ‘greater good of society’.’
My God I hope you are wrong! Is there any chance that you might be? This is the stuff of my nightmares. I must admit that the fact that Orbán was the recipient of a Soros Foundation scholarship to Oxford, in the watershed year of 1989 of all times, is worrying. But then, it was only a measly six-month one, not nearly lavish enough to indicate serious intention to buy him. He’s not one of them, surely …

‘elle/sophie/tunde’s Master and Idol, Pav, has already, in his Kuruc-wisdom, declared Orban as a ‘gyppo’
So, no Orban is not a Jew, just a Roma
Enjoy!
That’s all right, then!
